Maxing Out

As we "transition" to fall (here in ATL), we're basically abusing the last of our summer pieces while attempting to layer and bust out our recent fall-inspired impulse buys. One way to avoid this is by investing in versatile pieces as often as possible.

I recently scored this awesome maxi dress during a JoeFresh online flash sale and couldn't be happier. This maxi dress serves the purpose of throwing something on during a still-feels-like-summer-evening with the option to layer more and more as we get into the colder months!

Sunday Skirting

This high-low take on the maxi skirt definitely had me running to the rack at Francesca's (and it was only $15 in store! The last days of summer will most certainly not be wasted on drab clothing so I was excited to wear this on a casual Sunday while we went brunching at 10th & Piedmont. (Must have: the white sangria pitcher.) I took the back of the skirt and tucked one corner in the front to be more edgy (lol or because I was too short and the back was trailing unless I folded the skirt).

Saturday Strollin'

An average day in midtown ATL for the hubs and I consists of brunch & trying out yummy cocktails in the area. We love that Empire State South changes up their menu often enough for us to try something new each time! As for food, we decided to hit up the classic, possibly too-often-visited Cafe Intermezzo; their food menu is a booklet and the drink menu is a novel, so it's always hard for us to try EVERYTHING there without gravitating to our favorites.

Cafe Intermezzo: We ordered the cheese tortellini & goat cheese salad with crab meat.
